TECHNOLOGY

GORE-TEX

Provides unrivaled waterproof protection that is both durable and lightweight. The microscopic pores of a GORE-TEX membrane are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, making GORE-TEX garments impenetrable to water from the outside. Those same pores are 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, which means they allow sweat vapor to escape to the surface of the shell to keep you dry from the inside out. 100% Waterproof & Windproof.

GORE OPTIFADE CONCEALMENT

Traditional mimicry patterns based on human vision are designed to look like a specific type of vegetation or terrain. GORE OPTIFADE Concealment is the only scientifically proven concealment pattern based on animal vision to optically fade a hunter into their surroundings. By using advanced blends of micro and macro patterns to fool animal vision rather than mimic a particular shape, GORE OPTIFADE Concealment is more versatile and more effective at getting hunters close to game.

YKK ZIPPERS

Sitka Gear uses premium YKK Zippers across their product line for reliability, durability, weather resistance, and quiet operation. They also print many of their zippers with GORE OPTIFADE Concealment for added stealth.

SITKA DESIGN NOTES

Waterfowl hunters have been looking for a jacket that they can build a system around. One that allows freedom of movement, can be layered and provides ultimate protection from a variety of late-season conditions and weather. Sitka’s design was focused on using a GORE-TEX 3-layer laminate face with GORE-TEX with STRETCH technology in the shoulder and neck. Totally windproof, waterproof and breathable plus the ability for unrestricted movement in tight spaces makes this a lethal combination of technologies. For insulation, Sitka Gear chose PrimaLoft Gold to ensure heat where it counts.
